About the Journey :-

This journey is more than a tour across India and Nepal, it is an immersive experience of land, culture, communities and biodiversity across the Eastern Himalayas. Beginning in Siliguri and crossing into Nepal, the journey gradually moves from the foothills to the tea covered landscapes of Kanyam and Ilam, connecting people and places through shared mountain heritage. Ilam offers an opportunity to experience the living culture of the Limbu community, traditional food, village life, indigenous stories, music and dance, while exploring the region’s rich tea heritage. From the sacred wetlands of Mai Pokhari and the forests of Sadhutar to the Himalayan landscapes overlooking Kanchenjunga, the journey reveals the deep relationship between nature, spirituality and local communities. Crossing back into India through Pashupati Nagar, the journey continues towards Darjeeling, another iconic Himalayan landscape shaped by tea, forests, indigenous communities and colonial heritage. From Tiger Hill and Batasia Loop to Ghoom, Darjeeling’s tea gardens and Kurseong’s mountain villages, every destination offers a different perspective on the region’s living heritage. This is a journey that connects two countries through one continuous Himalayan landscape—where borders may divide nations, but culture, biodiversity, traditions, mountains and communities remain deeply interconnected.
